There are currently two recommended ways to do this:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Using <a href=\"#DefectURLs\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"undefined\">defect URLs<\/a> to link test results to a ClickUp task<\/li>\n<li>Using <a href=\"#ReferenceURLs\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"undefined\">reference URLs<\/a> to link milestones, test runs, test plans, or test cases to ClickUp lists<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note that you can configure defect URLs and reference URLs globally or on a per-project basis.<\/p>\n<p>To make the most of the ClickUp integration, it is recommended that users completely understand <a href=\"https:\/\/help.clickup.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/13856392825367-Intro-to-the-Hierarchy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ClickUp hierarchy levels<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout--info\">\n<p>Unfortunately, ClickUp does not offer dedicated URLs for adding tasks and lists. Hence, it is not possible to configure <strong>Defect Add Url<\/strong> or <strong>Reference Add Url<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"DefectURLs\">Defect URLs<\/h2>\n<p>The defect URL can be used to let TestRail know how to access your ClickUp tasks directly from your test results.<\/p>\n<p>Once the URL has been configured, you can use the Defects field on the <strong>Add Result<\/strong> window. This link allows you to jump to a related ClickUp task.<\/p>\n<p>To configure a unique ClickUp URL in your entire TestRail instance, go to the <strong>Dashboard<\/strong> and select <strong>Administration &gt; Integration &gt; Defects<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>You can alternatively enter separate task URLs for each project by going to <strong>Administration &gt; Projects <\/strong>and clicking the edit icon of the corresponding project.<\/p>\n<p>Use the following URL to configure the view task address:<\/p>\n<pre><code>ClickUp installation\nDefect View Url: https:\/\/app.clickup.com\/t\/%id%<\/code><\/pre>\n<h2 id=\"ReferenceURLs\">Reference URLs<\/h2>\n<p>The reference URLs are used to link milestones, test runs, test plans, and test cases to lists stored in ClickUp via the <strong>References<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n<p>Once the URL has been configured, list IDs entered in the <strong>References<\/strong> field are linked to your ClickUp instance to make it easier to jump to them.<\/p>\n<p>To configure a unique ClickUp URL in your entire TestRail instance, go to the <strong>Dashboard<\/strong> and select <strong>Administration &gt; Integration &gt; References<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>You can alternatively enter separate list URLs for each project by going to <strong>Administration &gt; Projects <\/strong>and clicking the edit icon of the corresponding project.<\/p>\n<p>Use the following template URL to integrate TestRail with ClickUp making sure you input the real Workspace ID:<\/p>\n<pre><code>ClickUp installation\nReference View Url: https:\/\/app.clickup.com\/&lt;workspace ID&gt;\/v\/li\/%id<\/code><\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This topic explains how to integrate TestRail with ClickUp.
